Upgrading an Appliance

You may upgrade your appliances directly via the Hub 360 Appliances screen

Tip

If your appliance is Live or offline, the upgrade will be queued and the upgrade will start when the Live completes or the devices comes back online. You may monitor the status of the upgrade in the appliance’s message panel:

If desired, you can cancel the queued upgrade by clicking Cancel Update.

To upgrade the appliance firmware:

  1. Click Appliances in the sidebar.

  2. Click the  Info icon icon next to the appliance you wish to upgrade and note the current version number.

  3. Click the More Options  icon next to the appliance you wish to upgrade and click Update Firmware.

Tip

You may upgrade multiple appliances at the same time by checking the checkboxes next to each appliance and clicking the Update Firmware button. The selected appliances must be of the same type and model for the Update Firmware button to be enabled:

  • Pro4 and Rack400 models share the same firmware.

  • Pro3, Rack200, and Rack300 models share the same firmware.

  • Air200 and Air300 models share the same firmware.

  1. In the dialog box that opens, select the desired firmware file from the dropdown.

Note

Ensure that you select a newer version than the current version number noted in step #2.

  1. Click the Next button.

  2. Confirm the upgrade by clicking the Update Firmware button.

  3. For Air, Pro, Rack, and Falkon devices, additional steps are needed:

    1. The upgrade must be confirmed in the transmitter web interface. Access the interface by clicking on the link given in the status message:

    2. In the Transmitter UI, click the Confirm button to confirm the update.

    3. When the installation completes, you must reboot the transmitter. Click the  More Options icon and click Reboot.

Note

The upgrade process takes several minutes and the appliance will reboot.
