The Makito X4 auto-detects the hardware setup of the encoder and automatically creates either SDI KLV metadata source(s) or SMPTE ST 2110-40 metadata sources.
You can also create additional HD-SDI or ST-2110 sources linked to the same video input which can be configured to different decimation settings (as well as security reclassification and mission ID override). For example, you can have one high bitrate stream sending out all the KLV as well as a lower bitrate stream that uses KLV decimation.
Note
Only progressive scan formats are supported (i.e., 1280x720p and 1920x1080p).
The Makito X4 Encoder can capture only 1024 bytes of KLV metadata per video frame.
To configure HD-SDI or ST-2110 metadata sources:
From the Metadata List View, click theSettingsiconon the metadata panel. The MetadataSourceDetail View expands. or
To create an additional source, from the Metadata List View, click the Add Metadata button.
On the New Metadata Source dialog, type in a unique name for the metadata source.
Select HD-SDI or ST-2110 for the Metadata Type,
Select the Input from the drop-down list. Decimation Settings:
To configure frame-decimation to reduce the bandwidth used by the metadata service, select either a decimation factor or reference encoder from the Decimation drop-down list. See “Decimation” (under "HD-SDI Sources") in Metadata Settings.
Select or enter the remaining value(s). For details on the Metadata fields, see Metadata Settings.
