Using Favorites to Quickly Access Your Products

The InfoCenter includes a Product Favorites feature that makes it easier to find the products you use most often. Instead of scrolling through the full product list each time, you can star the products you care about and view them in one convenient list.

Note

Favorites are stored locally in your browser’s storage and do not sync across devices. You will need to manually favorite pages on each device or use our Import/Export User Profile feature. See Importing and Exporting Your Settings for details.

Favorite a Product

  1. If they don't already appear, click Products in the sidebar and select either the Type or Family tab to find a product to favorite.

  2. Click the  Star icon next to the product you want to favorite.

    • Star Filled means the product is now in your Favorites.

    • Star means the product is not favorited.

Tip

You can favorite as many products as you like.

Viewing Your Favorites

  1. After you favorite at least one product, a new Favorites tab appears below the product list in the sidebar.

  2. Select this tab to see only the products you’ve favorited.

  1. Clicking a product from this list takes you directly to its documentation.

Tip

If you have stored at least one favorite, the Favorites tab will be the default tab shown as you browse the InfoCenter.

Editing a Favorite

  1. If they don't already appear, click Products in the sidebar and click the Favorites tab to show your Favorites list.

  2. Hover over a product in the Favorites list.

  3. Click the  Edit icon to edit.

  4. A Edit Favorite dialog appears. Make the desired change to the Title of the favorite.

Note

The URL to the favorite is displayed but cannot be changed.

  1. Click the Save button. Your Favorites list is updated.

Removing a Favorite

  1. If they don't already appear, click Products in the sidebar and click the Favorites tab to show your Favorites list.

  2. Hover your mouse over the favorite you want to remove and click the  Remove icon next to the favorite.

  3. Click the  Checkmark icon that replaces the  Remove icon to confirm deletion.

The product is removed from the Favorites list.

Managing Your Favorites

  • Sorting: Favorites can be reordered by clicking and dragging the  Drag icon drag handle next to each favorite.

Tip

Keep your most-used products at the very top, or alphabetize the list. Your choice!

  • Persistence: Your favorites are stored locally in your browser, meaning they won’t be lost when you refresh the page or close the browser.

  • Cross-Device Compatibility: Since favorites are stored locally, they are not shared across different devices or browsers. However, you may use our import/export user profile feature to copy settings across browsers or devices. SeeImporting and Exporting Your Settings for details.
