Notes & Tips
-
Sharing settings within your company: You may choose to export your customized setup and share the
.jsonfile with colleagues. This way, everyone starts with the same consistent view of Haivision documentation for your purchased products. -
Editing the file: Advanced users may edit the
.jsonfile to change settings manually. You do not need to include all key/value pairs from local storage. For example, you may only want to save Favorites or Bookmarks. The rest of the key/value pairs can be removed from the file. However, do not alter the special__saltand__hashvalues. These are required to validate the file and confirm it was generated by our site.
Why Use Import/Export?
-
Switch devices easily. Carry your settings from your work computer to your laptop or mobile.
-
Back up your preferences. Save your setup so you can restore it later if needed.
-
Stay consistent. Keep Favorites, Bookmarks, sidebar preferences, and other settings the same everywhere.
-
Standardize company views. Roll out a consistent, pre-configured setup across your team.
