Starting a Record

Note

Ensure that a microSD card is inserted before starting a record. This microSD card must not be in read-only (or locked) mode.

You may start a record via the unit panel, the web interface, or the camera's REC button.

Unit Panel

To start a record:

  1. From the Home menu, tap Record icon . The video preview appears on screen and the selected record profile is displayed.
    When tapping Left arrow icon or Right arrow icon , the Record menu displays additional information.

  2. To select another Record profile:

    1. Tap the field beside Record icon .

    2. Tap another Record profile.

  3. To modify the Auto-forward mode:

    1. Tap the toggle button.

  4. To select another Destination profile:

    1. Tap the field beside AR_input.png .

    2. Tap another Destination profile.

  5. Tap Record icon to start the Record. The video preview appears on the screen:

  6. Tap Left arrow icon to display more information about the record action.

In case of a Record and simultaneous Forward, another screen appears when you tap on the unit panel:

C icon Amount and percentage of data already forwarded (if option enabled)

To stop the Record:

  1. Tap Right arrow icon . 

  2. Tap AR_record_off_red.png > Stop Record.

To stop the Forward:

  1. Tap Right arrow icon .

  2. Tap AR_forward_off_purple.png > Stop Forward.

Web Interface

To start the Record:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Streams section, click the  Settings icon icon to check that the unit settings are configured and selected as required:

Note

If you enable the Auto-forward option, the video file is automatically forwarded during the record.

  1. Click Record icon to start the Record.

To stop the Record:

  1. Click AR_record_off_red.png .

  2. Confirm to stop recording.

To stop the Forward:

  1. Click  AR_forward_off_purple.png .

  2. Confirm to stop forwarding.

Camera

Note

Before starting a record, make sure that the REC button, the Record profile, and the Destination profile have been configured. Please see (4.1) Configuring the Camera's REC Button and (4.1) Adding a Record Profile.

  • Press the camera's REC button.

The Record is in progress.
