Starting a Live

You can start a live manually or you can enable the Auto-live at startup. See (4.1) Enabling/Disabling Auto-Live at Startup.

Unit Panel

To start the Live: 

  1. From the Home menu, tap Play button . The video preview appears on screen and the live profile selected is reminded. When tapping Arrow left or Arrow right , the Live menu provides some additional information.

  2. To select another Live profile:

    1. Tap the field beside Play icon .

    2. Tap another Live profile.

  3. To select another Record profile:

    1. Tap the field beside Record icon .

    2. Tap another Record profile.

  4. To modify the Auto-Record mode:

    1. Tap the toggle button to enable or disabled Auto-Record.

  5. To select another Destination profile:

    1. Tap the field beside Destination icon .

    2. Tap a different Destination profile.

  6. Tap Play button to start the Live. The video preview appears on screen.

  7. Tap Left arrow to display information about the Live action.

Note

Refer to the StreamHub User Guide to set another delay during Live operation.

In case of a Live and simultaneous Record, a different screen appears:

To stop the Live:

  1. Tap Right arrow .

  2. Tap AR_stop_filled_green.png > Stop Live.

To stop the Record:

  1. Tap Right arrow .

  2. Tap  AR_record_off_red.png > Stop Record.

Connection Loss during a Live with Simultaneous Record

Recordings of your Live events will continue even if the network connection is lost and Live is interrupted.

If the network connection is lost:

  1. You will receive an error message.

  2. Tap OK to return to the Live preview, where you will see the recording still in progress.

  3. Tap  AR_arrow_left_thin.png to view the resolution and remaining recording time possible on the SD card.

Web Interface

To start the Live:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Streams section, click the Settings icon icon to check that the unit settings are configured and selected as required.

Note

If you enable the Auto-Record option, the video file is automatically recorded during the live.

  1. Click the Save button.

  2. Click the  AR_play_outlined_grey.png icon to start the Live.

To stop the Live:

  1. Click the  AR_stop_filled_grey.png icon.

  2. Confirm to stop the video transmission.

Connection Loss during a Live with Simultaneous Record

Recordings of your Live events will continue even if the network connection is lost and Live is interrupted.

Network loss will be indicated by the No Network warning on the Live preview panel. When this occurs, you have the option to: 

  • Stop the Live and the Recording by clicking the  AR_stop_filled.png icon,

  • Stop the Recording only by clicking the  AR_record_off.png icon. 

Note

The Forward  AR_forward.png function is disabled when network connection is lost. 

Camera

Note

Before starting a live, make sure that the REC button, the Live profile, and the Destination profile have been configured. Please see (4.1) Configuring the Camera's REC Button and (4.1) Configuring Live Profiles.

  • Press the camera's REC button.

The Live is in progress.
