Starting a Live (MultiMode)

You can start a live manually via the unit panel, web interface, or camera or you can enable the Auto-live at startup. See (4.1) Enabling/Disabling Auto-Live at Startup.

Unit Panel

To start a live:

  1. From the Home menu, tap  Play icon . The video preview appears on screen. When tapping  Arrow right icon , the Live menu displays additional information for each encoder.

Note

  • Video source must be all SDI or all Pattern.

  • All inputs must have the same resolution and the same frame rate.

  1. You can modify settings before starting the Live action:

  2. To select another Source:

    1. Tap the field beside  _avi_unit_source .

    2. Tap a different source.

  3. To select another Live profile:

    1. Tap the field beside  AR_play_filled_green.png .

    2. Tap a different Live profile.

  4. To select another Destination profile:

    1. Tap the field beside  AR_input.png .

    2. Tap a different Destination profile.

  5. Tap  AR_play_filled_green.png to start the Live for all encoders. Video previews appear on screen.

  1. Tap  AR_arrow_left_thin.png to display some indications about the Live action:

Note

  1. Tap  AR_undo.png to display all encoders and on  AR_arrow_left_thin.png to display additional information such as the bitrate for each encoder or ancillary data.

To stop the Live for all encoders:

  1. Tap  Arrow right icon .

  2. Tap  AR_stop_filled_green.png > Stop Live.

To stop the Live for a single encoder:

  1. Tap the preview of the encoder that you want to stop.

  2. Tap  Arrow right icon .

  3. Tap  AR_stop_filled_green.png > Stop Live.

Web Interface

To start a live:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Streams section, click the  Settings icon icons under each stream to check the settings are configured as required (video source, live profile, and destination profile).

Note

  • Video Source must be all SDI or all Pattern.

  • All inputs must have the same resolution and the same frame rate.

  1. Click the  AR_play_outlined_grey.png icon above the streams to start the Live for all encoders.

To stop the Live:

  1. Click the  AR_stop_filled_grey.png icon above the streams.

  2. Confirm to stop the video transmission.

Camera

Note

Before starting a live, make sure that the REC button, the Live profile, and the Destination profile have been configured. Please see (4.1) Configuring the Camera's REC Button and (4.1) Configuring Live Profiles.

To start a live:

  • Press the camera's REC button.

The Live is in progress.
