Streaming from Device to HMP

With Play Pro, you can stream from your mobile device to Haivision Media Platform (HMP). Before launching a live stream, HMP must be added to Play Pro and logged in with the correct credentials. For help adding HMP to Play Pro, please refer to Connecting to HMP.

Note

The HMP user account must have sufficient user role permissions to enable streaming from Play Pro. For more information on configuring the relevant HMP permissions, see Setting Permissions to Stream from Haivision Play Pro.

To live stream from a mobile device to HMP:

  1. Tap the AR_menu.png icon to open the side menu.

  2. Select AR_custom_streams.png Streams.

  3. On the Streams screen, scroll down to HMP Services and select an HMP.

  4. If prompted, sign in with your HMP Username and Password.

  5. Tap the Menu icon to open the side menu.

  6. Select AR_video_camera.png Stream from Device.

Note

In order to create and record the streaming session, the selected HMP SRT port must not be in use. For help changing the SRT port, see Live Capture Settings.

  1. Tap the  Play icon to begin streaming and tap the  Record icon to record the stream for later viewing.

  2. Tap the AR_more_options.png icon to share the stream with available HMP Share Lists.

  3. To stop recording and streaming, tap the Record and Stream icons again.

  4. Tap the  AR_close.png icon to exit the stream.
