HLS Live Preview

Once an HLS output has been configured, Administrators can view a live preview of any HLS media stream running through their Kraken device. 

Note

Kraken Video Preview via HLS is intended for operational confidence in media and not for wider distribution with user management in Kraken.

To view the HLS Preview:

1. Click Streaming on the sidebar, and select the Outputs tab to open the outputs list view.

2. Click the HLS URL on the panel of the HLS output you would like to preview.
   

   

   
   
   
   

   Note

   Ensure that this HLS Kraken Output is started. If the stream is not currently running, go to the Streams page, and press the Play icon

   

    on the far right of the Kraken Stream configured with HLS output. 

3. If the stream is running, the preview opens in a new player window, as in the example below:
   

   

You can also access the HLS Live Preview from the Streams page.

1. Click Streaming on the sidebar, and select the Streams tab.
2. On any running stream with an HLS output, click HLS in the stream panel.
   

   

3. The preview opens in a new player window, as in the example below:
