Step 7: Setting Up a Banner

Next, you must set up an Advisory Notice and Consent Banner. This is a single text file that will be displayed to users that log in for interactive sessions on the Makito X  Series.

Note

The banner file must contain only ASCII characters, using Windows (CRLF) or Unix (LF) line breaks, and must be no greater than 4 KB in size.

To set up an advisory/warning banner for interactive login via the Web Interface, do the following:

1. On the Administration page, click Banner from the sidebar menu.
   The Banner page opens (as shown in the following Makito X4 Encoder example).
   

   

2. Click Import to find the banner text file on your trusted PC.
3. Click Upload.
4. Click the checkbox to Display this Advisory Notice and Consent Banner upon user login.
   

   

5. Click Apply.
