Accessing the Command Line Interface

The Makito X Series Command Line Interface (CLI) provides a prompt to the user to enter commands. The CLI is provided on the telnet and SSH management ports, and on the serial port (when available and when that port is configured to Management mode).

To access the Makito X Series CLI, do the following:

1. Make sure the trusted computer is connected to the network port of the Makito X Series device with an Ethernet cable.
2. Establish a CLI session over the network connection, using the default values for IP address (10.5.1.2) and subnet mask (255.255.0.0):
   trustedPC: ~$ ssh admin@10.5.1.2
3. Log in using the default administrator credentials.
