Configuring a Video Return Live Profile

Unit Panel

  1. From the Home menu, use the wheel to select Settings icon > Live Profiles icon .

  2. Press the wheel again to create a new live profile.

  3. Press the wheel to enter the Profile Name field and use the wheel to select characters and compose a name.

  4. Use the wheel to configure the Live Profile settings following the recommendations mentioned in the table on Configuring Live Profiles:

    • Application (Video Return)

    • End-to-end Latency

    • Bitrate

    • Channel Layout

  5. Turn the wheel to select ADVANCED+ and press it to confirm.

Note

Advanced parameters are available if the Encoder Type is H.264.

  1. Turn the wheel to select the Optimisation for LiveGuest field and press it to enable or disable this option if required.

  2. Turn the wheel to select the Manual Resolution field and press it to enable or disable this option if required.

  3. If you enabled Manual Resolution, turn the wheel to select the Resolution field and press it to select the output resolution.

Note

Only downscaling or same resolution are supported.

  1. Turn and press the wheel to apply the new resolution.

  2. Select Save icon and press the wheel to confirm the creation of the Video Return Live profile.

Web Interface

  1. In the sidebar, click Streaming > Live.

  2. Click the Add Profile button. The Add Live Profile dialog appears:

  3. Enter a profile name in the Profile Name field.

  4. Set the Application to Video Return.

  5. Set a Delay between 500 and 10000 ms.

  6. In the Video settings, set a bitrate between 200 and 6000 kbps.

  7. In the Audio settings, select a Channel Layout between: 1x Mono or 1x Stereo.

  8. Click the toggle button to enable Optimization for LiveGuest.

  9. Click the toggle button to enable Manual Resolution.

  10. Click the Add button.
