Setting the Data Amount on a SIM Card
In order to better monitor the cellular data usage on the SIM cards inserted into field units, the administrator, and the users with the "Statistics" permission can set the data amount on each SIM card according to the data plan.
Click Stats.
Click Sim Cards.
Click the IMSI of a SIM card for which you want to set the amount of data according to the data plan. A new window opens.
Set the day on which the data plan cycle starts each month (for monthly data only) in the field Data plan day*.
Set the data amount in gibibytes (GiB) in the field Data Plan and select its type (Monthly or Prepaid).
Set the Extra Data in gibibytes (GiB), if any, and its type (Monthly or Prepaid).
Set the Roaming Data in gibibytes (GiB), if any, its type (Monthly or Prepaid).
Set the Phone Number (optional).
Click the Save button.
The data usage (Data Used and Roaming Used) on the SIM card is calculated as a percentage, see Monitoring the Cellular Data Usage.
The Manager can calculate the data left on the field units, see Monitoring the Use of Field Units.
Note
The amount of data usage is refreshed only when field units are connected to the Manager. This means that in case of SIM consumption reset according to dataplan, the field unit (including this SIM) amount will be refreshed on next connection to the Manager.
* When the type of data is monthly, the data usage is automatically reset on the Data plan day.
