Navigating the Dashboard

Overview

From the Dashboard you can use the sidebar to navigate to the Streaming, Settings, and Security sections, to access documentation through the Help Center, or to Sign Out of the decoder. For details, see Exploring the Web Interface.

The dashboard also provides visual references to quickly asses the state of each stream, as well as video and audio encoding overviews, and the device status.

The following sections describe the Makito X4 Encoder Dashboard functionality. 

System Monitoring

The dashboard provides users with key system information, including:

  • Video Encoding and Scaling resources in use, as well as the number of Video Encoders in use.

    Click Video Encoding here to go to the Video Encoders page. 

  • The number of Audio Encoders in use.

    Click Audio Encoding here to go to the Audio Encoders page. 

  • The Device Status information.

    Click Device Status here to go to the System page.

Stream Monitoring

The Dashboard provides users with information to monitor their streams, and configure their stream preview panels. Users can:

  • View previews of each stream being encoded.

  • Click the stream name to go to the Streams page and view the stream details.

  • Click the More Options dots_vertical.png menu on any stream panel to:

    • Reset Statistics (for the individual stream)

    • View the Detailed Statistics

    • Hide Statistics (on the stream preview)

    • Hide Statistics: All Streams (on all stream previews)

  • Hover over statistics preview to view related tooltips.

  • Hover over the stream preview to view graphs tracking the Delay and Bandwidth for SRT streams.
    Clicking AR_arrow_up_thin.png will keep the graphs expanded, and clicking  AR_arrow_down_thin.png will keep the graphs hidden.
