Configure Video Settings

From the Video Encoders pages, you can configure up to two independent video encoders to apply to streams. Each encoder can be configured independently and assigned to multiple outputs to support multi-bitrate.

  1. Click Streaming on the sidebar.

  2. Select the Video Encoders tab. 
    The Video Encoders List View displays information at a glance for the video encoders, as shown in the following example:

  3. Click the Sort dropdown menu to view the sorting options. The video encoder list view can be sorted in Ascending or Descending order, or by: 

    • Name

    • Input

    • Resolution

    • Codec

    • Bitrate

    • Status

  4. To change the status for an encoder, click the Start/Stop icon AR_play_filled.png / AR_stop_filled.png at the far right of the video encoder panel.

  5. To view details or configure the settings for a video encoder, click Settings icon AR_settings.png in the video encoder panel.

  6. To configure settings such as the video Input, (output) Bitrate, Resolution, and GOP Size, select or enter new values in the appropriate fields.

  7. To apply your changes, click Apply.

  8. To view statistics for the encoder, click the Statistics icon AR_stats_2.png . From here, you can reset the video encoder statistics by clicking Reset
