Cryptographic Strength Policy
In order to harden the Makito X Series, cryptographic security must be activated. This will reinforce security for all management functions of the encoder or decoder in terms of cryptography (for example, bit length, protocols supported, encryption, and hashing).
To configure a cryptographic strength policy via the Web Interface, do the following:
- In the Cryptography Policies section of the Administration > Policies page, choose a Compliance setting.
Next specify which version(s) of TLS/SSL to enable on the encoder or decoder.
Note
To ensure you use only the strongest cryptographic algorithms and ciphers, you should configure your Makito X Series device to support the latest TLS versions, and disable older versions.
- Click Apply.
