This is a demonstration of the fastest and simplest way to get a live stream running from your location to anywhere in the world. Your transmitter (Pro 360-5G or Pro 460) will generate and send a video pattern via cellular connection to a cloud-based gateway/receiver (Cloud StreamHub), which will receive the video and make it available for viewing. On a separate mobile device, you will use the Haivision Play Pro app to tune in to that live stream. As with all Haivision products, the stream benefits from award-winning SST and SRT technologies, which ensure maximum quality, reliability, and security.
Here's all you need to do:
Kit with Pro 360-5G Transmitter
Kit with Pro 460 Transmitter
The transmitter is shipped with a fully-charged battery , but you can also connect the power adapter provided.
Turn on the transmitter unit , and then press the Go live button on the front panel . The transmitter generates a dynamic pattern of coloured circles as a video stream and sends it to a pre-configured transceiver instance in the cloud (Cloud StreamHub). It normally takes a minute or so for the end-to-end streaming connection to be fully established.
With a mobile device, scan the QR code labelled SRT Playback in the white sticker portion of the Welcome card that came with your kit. If you do not have the (free) Haivision Play Pro app installed, you will be directed to the App Store or Google Play. Download the Play Pro app.
Launch Play Pro to tune into the coloured circle stream from Cloud StreamHub (you may have to re-scan the QR code).
And that's it! You've successfully streamed a live video from your location to a mobile device, which could as easily have been halfway around the world!

If you'd like to push this demo a little further, there are a couple of things you can try:
Instead of using the coloured circle stream, you can connect a live source (SDI or HDMI) to the transmitter and change the source selection to test the workflow with real-life content.

Changing the video input settings on the transmitter
By default, the transmitter is configured to deliver an internal coloured circles pattern. To switch from the pattern to an SDI input, do the following:

Press Video Source and select SDI 1.
Press to return to the Settings menu.
Press , and then select Live H264.
Press until you return to the Main menu.
Press , and then .
You will see a preview of the live stream on the front panel screen (after a short period, the screen locks and displays the message "Operation in progress").
If you have an SRT-compliant decoder (e.g. Makito Decoder) or SRT player (e.g. VLC) you can downlink an SRT feed from the Cloud StreamHub server for SDI display or PC playback.

Use the SRT URI on the Welcome card that came with your kit:
Note
Please keep in mind that, as with any cloud-based server, there is an inherent latency associated with using StreamHub Cloud. For improved performance, consider using an on-prem StreamHub server (see Demo B — Live On-Prem).
