Upgrading to HMG/HSG 3.7.5 with FIPS Enabled

With the 3.7.5 release, hardware-based FIPS cryptographic modules were replaced with software-based. Therefore, special instructions are necessary if you are upgrading to version 3.7.5+ from a pre-3.7.5 release.

  1. Within your HMG/HSG web interface, toggle the FIPS button to OFF in the Administration > System Settings > Security screen.

  2. Upgrade to 3.7.5 as normal as described in (3.8.1) Installing an Update Package.

  3. Enable the software-based FIPS modules as described in (3.8.1) Enabling/Disabling FIPS Cryptographic Modules.
