Apple Trusted Certificate

Apple Trusted Certificate – Impact on Haivision Web Console Experience

Due to a recent change in how Apple handles requirements for trusted certificates (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210176), customers who have upgraded devices to macOS 10.15 ("Catalina") or iOS 13 may receive a browser security alert and consequently are not able to access Haivision web interfaces.

Note

The security of your device has not changed; only the Apple requirements for a valid certificate have changed.

  • If you installed your Haivision device before July 1, 2019, you are not affected by this issue.
  • If you have replaced the default, self-signed certificate with a trusted TLS certificate issued by a 3rd-party, contact your certificate issuer to determine if their certificates are compliant with the new requirements from Apple.
  • If you have already updated your Apple device and installed your Haivision device after July 1, 2019, please contact us for assistance:

Haivision is in the process of providing an update that will include a fix for this issue.
