Configuring a Video Return Live Profile
To configure a video return Live Profile from the Unit Panel, or from the Web Interface, see the sections below.
Unit Panel
- From the Home menu, use the wheel to select > .
- Press the wheel again to create a new live profile.
- Press the wheel to enter the Profile Name field and use the wheel to select characters and compose a name.
- Use the wheel to configure the Live Profile settings following the recommendations mentioned in the table on Configuring Live Profiles:
- Application (Video Return)
- End-to-end Latency
- Bitrate
- Channel Layout
Turn the wheel to select ADVANCED + and press it to confirm.
Note
Advanced parameters are available if the Encoder Type is H.264.
- Turn the wheel to select the Optimisation for LiveGuest field and press it to enable or disable this option if required.
Turn the wheel to select the Manual Resolution field and press it to enable or disable this option if required.
Note
The button turns into and the Resolution field appears.
Turn the wheel to select the Resolution field and press it to select the output resolution.
Note
Only downscaling or same resolution are supported.
- Turn and press the wheel to apply the new resolution.
- Select and press the wheel to confirm the creation of the Video Return Live profile.
Web Interface
- Click on Settings > Live.
- Click on .
- Enter a profile name in the Profile Name field.
- Set the Application to Video Return.
- In the Network settings, enter an End-to-End Latency.
- In the Video settings, set a bitrate.
- In the Audio settings, select a Channel Layout between:
- 1x Mono
- 1x Stereo
- Click on Advanced.
- Click on to enable Optimization for LiveGuest.
- Click on to enable Manual Resolution.
Click on the Resolution field to select the resolution to apply.
- Click Apply.
