Release Notes 1.3

What's New

  • KLV Engine - Update KLV engine to support MISB 0903 data.
  • VMTI Overlay - Target Bounding Boxes. View real-time bounding boxes overlaid on video, highlighting moving targets as identified by VMTI metadata.
  • VMTI List View - Sortable Target Metadata Sidebar. View decoded VMTI metadata as a filtered list within the Play ISR sidebar.
  • VMTI Selection - Sortable Target Metadata Sidebar. Select targets from the VMTI metadata list to highlight them directly atop the video view.
  • VMTI Labels - View Object Types. View object labels based on specified ontologies alongside detected targets.
  • Age-out Metadata - Persist infrequent metadata. Decode all metadata packets within a motion imagery stream, and persist infrequent metadata items not appearing with every packet to preserve context of the FMV stream.
  • Metadata Display - Improve insight into metadata update values and rates by showing the time since last value was received.

Fixed Issues:

  • Addressed the behavior so that Deleted Saved streams now remain when present in the Recent list.
  • Addressed an issue where long-running streams would incur jerky/inconsistent playback.
  • Addressed an issue where video image quality would appear blocky for some streams.
  • Addressed an issue where SRT graphs appear with incorrect time bases.
  • Addressed an issue where streams lacking audio would present an accumulation of playback latency.

Known Issues:

  • Sometimes streams with SYNC KLV would be detected as ASYNC.

  • Playback of 1080i60 HEVC content can lag behind realtime on modern Windows machines.

Workaround: Leverage progressive encoding on the source, or leverage an alternate hardware platform or OS.
  • Sometimes streams started with no audio show incorrect statistics when audio is later added by the streaming source.
  • Sometimes changes in source audio codec wouldn’t be reflected in Play ISR statistic updates.
  • When switching sources while streaming a multiprogram stream, the video playback might freeze if the previously streamed program id is not available in the new source.
  • Addressed and issue where removed network interfaces on Windows still appear within network selection dialogs within Play ISR.
