Automatic Upgrades

If connected to an Haivision Media Platform server, firmware upgrades are delivered automatically to your Haivision Play Set-Top Box. The STB polls the server at 60-second intervals to check for firmware/application updates. If there is a new firmware/application available, the HMP server sends the files to the Haivision Play Set-Top Box. After all necessary files have downloaded, the Haivision Play Set-Top Box reboots and the firmware update process launches.

To determine if an update was successful, open the STB Settings application and verify the Firmware/Software version numbers on the Information page.

Tip

The upgrade preserves all your previous configurations.
