Dual Channel vs. High/Low Encoding
In addition to encoding single input sources, the Makito X supports dual channel and High/Low encoding. Dual channel encoding features two input sources as two independent encoders. With High/Low encoding, the Makito X encodes a single input source and emits both high and low bandwidth streams simultaneously. Following are some differences between the two in H.264 vs. HEVC encoding:
