Connecting the BNC/S-Video Interface (Makito X SDI)
Note
The same BNC connector is used for Composite and Serial Digital Interface (SDI) Video Input and Embedded Digital Audio Input.
To connect the Makito X SDI Audio/Video Interface:
- Video In: Connect your Video Source cable(s) to one or both of the encoder's Video Inputs, using the BNC connectors:
- Composite (CVBS) Video
- SDI Video/Audio (either SD, HD, or 3G-SDI)
- Analog Audio In: Connect your Audio Source cable to the encoder's 8-pin Mini-DIN connector (shown below).
- For unbalanced audio, use the 8-pin audio to 3-RCA female cable adapter (included in the package, shown below).
- A balanced audio cable adapter is available from Haivision upon request. (See Audio Breakout Cables.)

Note
Selection between analog and digital (SDI) audio may be done via the Web interface or the Command Line Interface (CLI).
