leds

The leds command may be used to help locate a Makito X by initiating blinking of the Status and TX or RX LEDs on the Makito X face-plate. This allows easy location of the device in large server room deployments, for example, to help identify a specific blade in a rack.

leds get
leds start [duration=15]
leds stop

Initiates blinking of the Status and TX or RX LEDs on the Makito X Encoder or Decoder face-plate. 

stop

Cancels blinking of the Status and TX or RX LEDs on the Makito X Encoder or Decoder face-plate.

get

Displays LED status information for the Makito X.

The blinking duration can be set from 1 to 60 minutes. If no duration is set, blinking will last for 15 minutes.

Examples

# leds start duration=2

Initiates blinking of the Status and TX or RX LEDs, provides the following confirmation:

LEDs set to blink for 2 minutes.
# leds get
  1. Displays current LED status (Makito X Encoder, blinking initiated above):
    LED States:
    Status LED : Green-Blinking
    TX1 LED : Green-Blinking
    TX2 LED : Green-Blinking
    Blinking will stop in 1m50s

  2. Displays current LED status (Makito X Decoder, LEDs not blinking):
    LED States:
    Status LED : Green
    RX1 LED : Green
    RX2 LED : Green
# leds stop

Cancels blinking of the LEDs.

LEDs no longer blinking.
