SDI Video and Embedded Digital Audio Interfaces
The Makito X4 SDI video interface consists of four 75 Ω HD-BNC connectors.
Makito X4 Encoder (#S-MX4E-SDI4)
The HD-BNC connector(s) are used for SD-SDI (Serial Digital Interface), HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI video input signals.
In addition, the HD-BNC connector(s) support auto-detection of the HD resolution and embedded digital audio.
Caution
Be sure to use an HD video-capable RG-6 coaxial cable such as the Belden 1694A up to 300 feet. Otherwise, the video signal may be too attenuated and the encoder will not sync on it.SMPTE ST 2110 IP over SFP+ Input
Starting v1.4, the Makito X4 Encoder with an MSA compliant 10Gbps Ethernet NIC installed in the SFP+ port can ingest and encode SMPTE ST 2110 compliant content containing active video, audio and ancillary metadata.
