Network and Management Interfaces

  IP Network Interfaces

Standard:
  • Single Ethernet 10/100/1000
  • Base-T, auto-detect, Half/Full-duplex
  • Unicast streaming IPv4/IPv6
  • Multicast streaming (IGMPv3, Internet Group Management Protocol & IPv6)
  • Multiple unicast streaming
  • Path Redundancy – SRT across multiple networks
  • SFP+ port – second NIC with MSA compliant 1G/10G SFP module

    Note

In SDI personality, the encoder supports 1Gbps and 10Gbps speeds. In ST 2110 personality, it only supports 10Gbps speed

H.264 Streaming Protocols:
  • MPEG Transport Stream
  • Secure Reliable Transport (SRT)
  • TS over SRT, UDP or RTP
  • RTSP/RTP
HEVC Streaming Protocols:
  • MPEG Transport Stream
  • Secure Reliable Transport (SRT)
  • TS over SRT, UDP or RTP
  • RTSP/RTP

Management Interfaces

Physical Interface:
  • IP/Ethernet (IPv4 and IPv6)
Management Protocols:
  • HTTPS (Web browser)
  • Haivision EMS pairing
  • Command line over SSH/Telnet
  • SFTP/TFTP/SCP Client/Server
  • SNMP v1, v2c, and v3

SMPTE ST 2110 over SFP+ Input

Video:

Active video compressed using H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC compression.

Audio:

Audio compressed using the AAC-LC algorithm.

Metadata:

Metadata encapsulated as per ATSC A/72 for CC, the H.264 and HEVC specs for TC, ATSC A/72 for AFD and MISB 0604.2 or MISB 1402 specifications.

Output Stream:

Applicable supported output stream formats are TS/UDP, TS/RTP, TS/SRT and RTSP.

  • Uncompressed video is carried as per SMPTE ST 2110-20 & ST 2110-21.

    * 4x 1080p59.94/60 ingest is not supported as it is beyond the 10Gbps speed of the interface
** UHD/4Kp50/59.94/60 ingest is also not supported.

  • Uncompressed PCM audio is carried as per SMPTE ST 2110-30 (AES67).
  • Ancillary Data is carried as per SMPTE ST 2110-40.

    * HDR metadata signalling is not supported with ST 2110.

  • The overall system architecture and timing model is as described in SMPTE ST 2110-10 (PTP SMPTE 2059).
