Starting and Stopping Makito Encoder/Decoder Streams and Cores

On the Appliances screen, you can start/stop the individual streams, encoder cores, and decoder cores of your connected Makito Encoders/Decoders:

1. Click Appliances in the sidebar.
2. Click the

   

   icon next to the Makito Encoder/Decoder whose streams and cores you wish to view or start/stop.

The stream panel opens with tabs available for Streams, Video Encoders, and Audio Encoders for Makito Encoders and Decoders and Streams for Makito Decoders.

Available tabs for Makito Encoders:

Streams

The Makito Encoder's Streams tab shows details including video thumbnail, stream name, stream protocol, encoder summaries, stream status, and start/stop buttons.

Note

• You can use the stream name to determine which streams are generated by Hub 360 and which are created directly on the Makito Encoder.
• If necessary, access the Makito Encoder interface to view detailed status information for your streams or encoders. See Accessing an Appliance Interface for details.

Video Encoders

The Video Encoders tab shows details regarding the encoder cores including video thumbnail, codec, resolution, bitrate, assigned input, status, and start/stop buttons.

Audio Encoders

The Audio Encoders tab shows details regarding the encoder cores including language, assigned input, bitrate, status, and start/stop buttons.

Available tabs for Makito Decoders:

Streams

The Makito Decoder's Streams tab shows details including video thumbnail, stream name, stream protocol, stream details, and stream status.

Note

• For Makito Decoders, you cannot stop the streams directly on the Streams tab.
• You can use the stream name to determine which streams are generated by Hub 360 and which are created directly on the Makito Decoder.
• If necessary, access the Makito Decoder interface to view detailed status information for your streams or encoders. See Accessing an Appliance Interface for details.

Decoders

The Makito Decoder's Decoders tab shows details regarding the decoder cores including video thumbnail, stream name, resolution, assigned output, status, and start/stop buttons.

To start/stop streams, encoders, or decoders:

1. Click the tab of the items you wish to control. For Makito Encoders: Streams, Video Encoders, or Audio Encoders. For Makito Decoders: Decoders.
2. Either:
   • Click the

     

     or

     

     button next to the stream/encoder/decoder you wish to start or stop.
   • Check the checkbox next to the streams/encoders/decoders you wish to start or stop, and click the Start or Stop button.
3. After a few seconds, the selected items are started or stopped.
