Haivision Hub Release 2.4.0 Update

Component Versions

  • HUB: 2.4.0
  • HUB API: 2.4.0

This latest release to Haivision Hub focuses on performance and security along with some enhancements to alerts, input validations, and event logging. Also a couple of regions were decommissioned: East US 2, North Central US, South India, and Central Korea.

What's New

  • Add time filter support for route alerts (instead of just showing the alerts for last run).

  • Performance and speed enhancements in Akamai and RTT Hublets.

  • Additional input validations to HUB API when creating and starting routes.

  • Security and auditing. Added HUB user events tracking for audit purposes.

  • Decommissioning of the following HUB regions: koreacentral, northcentralus, southindia, and eastus2

  • Addition of Makito temperature reporting in Appliances app.

  • Read-only configuration for offline appliances.

  • Ability to load HUB presets when configuring Makito appliances.

  • Deep links within Appliances app. Ability to share the URL of a specific page with appliance configuration.

  • Filter MX4E encoder resolutions based on SDI input.

  • General bug fixing, stabilization, and improvements.

Known Limitations

  • Agile outputs are disabled for appliance-to-appliance direct routes.

  • Makito X ENC with FW 2.6.0-2 will make route fail if the fps set in the Preset are higher than the fps of the source input.

  • The bitrate reported in the Hub UI may not be accurate if encoder bitrate changes for a running route.

  • RTMP Hublet supports streams with a single audio track only.

  • Makito video preset has no validations for max bitrate.

  • When performing bulk operations on routes, some of the status update messages may be missed.

  • Opening the same Makito route on multiple browser tabs simultaneously can result in intermittent telemetry being displayed.

  • FEC-specific telemetry is not currently supported.

  • RTMP Hublets in consumer mode reports connected irrespective of the input signal.

  • RTP output Hublet status does not consider the status of the external connections.

  • Subscription selector for Admins - number of routes is not being updated.

  • Akamai Hublet does not support 4:2:2 8 & 10bit source.

  • Akamai Hublet does not support video from Makito X encoder with Intrafresh enabled.
