This latest release to Haivision Hub focuses on enhancing Makito hublet support and UDP port expiration notifications (nodeIP). Includes a number of GUI improvements as well.
What's New
For subscriptions configured in nodeIP mode:
The booking period of UDP ports can now be configured via the Hub subscription.
An email will be sent to Hub subscription admins, and a notification will be displayed in the portal 24 hours before a UDP port booking expiration.
UDP ports for removed routes/hublets are automatically released.
Makito hublet supports all audio and video cores of the device. Auto and manual modes for core selection is available.
Real time transcoders hublets - tier and logo change dynamically in the Preset Creation app, based on the preset features.
Pagination added to the notifications view.
Improvements to the thumbnails retrieval.
Known Limitations
Salesforce Chat widget visible in the Hub-dashboard app only.
In some infrequent cases, the status of the hublet are not correctly refreshed after route start.
For Makito X, presets with framing: IP may fail if the Makito encoder is pre-configured for Intra Refresh.
Intra Refresh shall not be available for HEVC codec presets.
Akamai hublet does not support thumbnails.
RTMP hublet supports streams with a single audio track only.
Makito video preset has no validations for max bitrate.
Makito devices will need to be repaired do to updates to authorization flow.
When performing bulk operations on routes, some of the status update messages may be missed.
Makito preset creator: Intra-Refresh with framing set to I-frame only GOP is available, but not a valid configuration for Makito X/X4 devices. Configuring this combination will cause the route to fail to provision.
Opening the same route with a Makito Hublet on multiple browser tabs simultaneously makes the telemetry being displayed intermittent.
Bulk actions on notifications have been disabled due to an issue that has been detected. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming release.
Notifications are sent to every user in the active Hub subscription only.
RTP FEC-specific telemetry is not supported.
RTMP hublets in consumer mode reports connected irrespective of the input signal.
RTP output hublet status does not consider the status of the external connections.
Instant bitrate displayed in the topology view is not accurate for internal connections.
Connection state for internal connections is not correctly updated when there is no input signal.
Subscription selector for admins – number of routes is not updated.
