Downloading and Installing Haivision Helper

To download the Haivision Helper installer:

  1. In a browser window log in to the Haivision Support Portal.

  2. In the search box enter "Haivision Helper" and click the Search button.

  3. Click Files in the left column to show only files available for download.

  4. Click on either the Mac, Windows (User), or Windows (Enterprise) package as appropriate, and click Download.

A .zip or .msi archive is downloaded to your computer.

To install Haivision Helper:

  1. For the Mac installer, extract the downloaded .zip file using a zip file utility.

  2. Run the appropriate installer and follow the instructions.

Important

  • Administrator privileges are required to install the Windows Enterprise version of Haivision Helper.

  • When switching between the Windows User and Windows Enterprise versions of Haivision Helper, or vice versa, the current version must be uninstalled first.

Note

The Haivision Helper installation path is:

  • Windows User (Default, see (1.2) Advanced Deployment Options): %LOCALAPPDATA%\Haivision\Helper

  • Windows Enterprise (Default, see (1.2) Advanced Deployment Options): 

    • 64-bit systems: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Haivision\Helper

    • 32-bit systems: %PROGRAMFILES%\Haivision\Helper

  • OS X: $HOME/Library/Application Support/com.haivision.helper

After installation, Haivision Helper starts automatically when a user logs in to their computer.
