Persistent Screen Elements

The following elements are constant and available from any screen.

Expand/Collapse Menu Button

Clicking the

icon, expands and collapses the menu toolbar.

Current User

Identifies the user who is currently signed into the system.

Sign Out

Clicking Sign Out exits the system and returns you to the Sign In screen.

Side Menu

The available items in the side menu depends on the account you are signed into. The side menu provides access to:

Route List screen — Allows you create and manage routes and their source/destination nodes.
Administration screen — Provides access to system configuration tasks (e.g., status, licensing, updating, and network configuration) and user administration.
Preferences/About screen — Opens a screen to configure user preferences including user interface brightness and contrast control and browser cache reset. Also displays the version number, build number, and copyright statement.

Tip

When requesting assistance, provide the build number to the support representative.
Help Center button — Opens the Haivision InfoCenter website to view the Haivision Media Gateway/SRT Gateway documentation.

Note

If no external internet connection is available, a local documentation file is opened in your web browser. Always refer to the Haivision InfoCenter for the latest documentation.

Hostname and IP Address

The bottom left of the side menu shows the Gateway's hostname and IP address to help you identify the device you are currently monitoring. You may change the hostname in the Administration > System Settings > Network page. See Configuring the Network for details.
