Generating a Private Key

To generate a Private Key:

1. In the side menu, click System Settings.
2. On the Certificates page, click Generate.
3. On the Generate Certificate or Private Key dialog, type in a name for the certificate.
4. For the Type, select Self-Signed.
5. Check the Create New Private Key checkbox.
   

   

6. Fill in the remaining fields. See Certificate Settings.

7. Click Apply.

   

   Caution

   Clicking Apply overwrites the current private key and renders unusable any certificates based on that key.

   The new certificate is added to the Certificates list, and becomes the active certificate.

8. Click Reboot.
