Tracking Video

Last updated on Dec 23, 2021

The Tracking Video view  helps you keep track the activity associated with Live and/or Video on Demand (VoD) streams. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are displayed covering such metrics as: play time, buffering, bitrate, and so forth. There is also a complete list of streams by user/IP with associated data, including a user happiness rating to help you better understand your platform/content performance. This user happiness value is calculated based upon a set of weighted parameters including bitrate, error frequency, and Exit Before Video Start (EBVS) events.

Video Tracking Details

The table under Video Tracking Details contains entries for all videos that correspond to the current status and filter settings. The row background color corresponds to the video play status (red = error, yellow = warning, green = good). The videos are identified as either VoD () or Live ().

In addition, each video has an associated user happiness score (on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being "happiest"). This value is calculated based on a set of weighted parameters including bitrate, error frequency, and Exit Before Video Start (EBVS) events. The happiness score is represented by one of five icons:

0-2

2-4

4-6

6-8

8-10

The  icon appears while a value is still being calculated. Click any column header to sort the table by that parameter.
