Visit YouTube to Enable Live Streaming

Problem Description

When attempting to stream to a YouTube Connection, the user encounters an error saying "Visit YouTube to enable live streaming for (account name)" and the stream fails to start. This occurs when YouTube has not enabled live streaming for the YouTube account associated with the Connection.

Workaround

First, ensure that you have selected the correct YouTube account in your YouTube Connection. For help editing a Connection, see Editing Active Social Media Connections.

Then, ensure that the YouTube account you are attempting to use has live streaming enabled. To do this:

1. Sign in to your YouTube account.
2. Click your profile picture and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Channel status and features .
   
4. Make sure Intermediate Features are Enabled .
   

5. If Intermediate Features are not enabled, complete the verification process.

   Note

   After completing the verification process, it can take up to 24 hours for live streaming to be enabled on your account.
