Modifying Inserted Media

To modify a stream's poster image click the
Inserted Media icon to open that panel in the Quick Access Bar. Each section of the Inserted Media panel is listed below.

Depending on the type of stream selected, some options may not be available.
Poster Image
From among the Poster Image tabs
, select the type of Poster Image to use with the stream:- (Service streams only) Click Service to apply the poster image from the associated service to the stream.
- (Individual Service instances or Event streams only) Click Custom to choose your own poster image.
- Click the icon to browse for the image you wish to use (supported formats are PNG and JPG).
- Note that Use Auto Poster is disabled when using a custom image; enabling it will override any uploaded custom image.
- Click None if you do not wish to specify a poster image. The stream will use the default Connect thumbnail image.
Enable Use Auto Poster
to have Connect automatically replace a poster image with one automatically generated (based on the stream's content) when it becomes available.Web Player Pre-Roll
- Enable Use Service Pre-Roll or Use Event Pre-Roll (depending on the type of stream) to add a playlist that will play before the main stream. Click the icon to add up to three media files to the pre-roll playlist. By default, Service streams use the pre-roll playlist associated with the Service.
- Enable the Skippable toggle to make the pre-roll playlist skippable by viewers.
- Next to Pre-Roll Order, click Default to edit the order in which pre-roll media will play (Stream, Connection and Player Template).
Web Player Post-Roll
- Enable Use Service Post-Roll or Use Event Post-Roll (depending on the type of stream) to add a playlist that will play after the main stream. Click the icon to add up to three media files to the post-roll playlist. By default, Service streams use the post-roll playlist associated with the Service.
- Enable the Skippable toggle to make the post-roll playlist skippable by viewers.
- Next to Post-Roll Order, click Default to edit the order in which the post-roll media will play (Stream, Connection and Player Template).

Pre-Roll and Post-Roll playlists for Event streams do not have all of the same options as Service streams but instead have toggles that can be enabled, as shown in the example below.
