Scheduling a Stream for an Event (One-Time)

Note
Use the Event Stream for one-time events and the Service Stream for a recurring event.

Note
Facebook has removed event scheduling from their platform as of December 13th, 2021; as a result, we are removing Facebook scheduling from our interface. Facebook Streams will be posted and created when they are scheduled to start, instead of in advance of the event.
Scheduling an Event Stream (One-Time Event)
To schedule an event stream:
- On the
Streams tab in the Featured Streams panel (default), click the Schedule an Event Stream button . The event scheduling dialog opens. - Select the location associated with the stream.
- Select the stream source (either Device or Media).
- (Optional) Click Device Settings under the source device to configure device settings, including:
- Video Preset (for help customizing presets, see Creating Custom Presets)
- Device Input
- Backup Encoder
- Save as Cloud Media
- Enter a name for the event and, optionally, add a description, call to action and poster image.
- (Optional) Select the primary speaker for the event.
- Set the event date, start time, duration and time zone.
Set the desired amount of intro and exit padding.
Note
If cloud media is selected as the source, the stream will use the padding values from the selected media.
Select the stream destination.
Note
When streaming to a social media connection (YouTube or Facebook) additional settings can be configured, as shown in the example below.
- When finished, click the Add Event Stream button.
The Event Stream card is added to the Services & Events and Upcoming Streams type categories.
